Used it on some plastic work on a Honda CT 110 I am restoring. It worked perfectly on the smaller parts that I am doing. The paint I used was a PPG product with the hardener. I was able to hold enough paint in the gun even with the smaller cup to do all of the parts at one time. (for each coat) Saved having to mix up a lot of paint at one time and waste a lot of it as I would have had to do with my larger guns. It comes with a stainless steel cup, unlike many of the cheaper guns which have a plastic cup, and since the material that I'm spraying cleans up with acetone, the metal cup is a must have. Optimal atomization was at about 20 PSI and any flaws in the finish are due to my lack of proper technique rather than any deficiency in the gun. I do recommend fitting a mini-regulator and an in-line filter.It's (quite) a bit more expensive that many of the mini-HVLP guns on Amazon but you get what you pay for, and my opinion this is a excellent piece of kit. |
